Too bad this turned out not to be Fielding. I always wondered why he looked so much older in this one.
Email address is thejeanjeanie@yahoo.com.I am the daughter of Louise Blakely Prescott. Her father was the nephew of Colonel Fielding Hurst. We have in our possession a picture of the colonel in what appears to be some type of miltiary dress. Growing up there was this picture that hung of the wall in the house we lived in in Memphis. All we were told back then was that he was my grandfather’s. uncle and that he was a colonel. The picture was aquired by my grandfather who removed it from a wall in a relative’s house because of his concern that it would be ruined due to a leaky roof. He referred to the man in the photograph as Uncle Fielding. His mother was a Hurst. I feel this picture maybe of some significance. It is different
than the picture I have seen. He appears to be younger. It is still in pretty good shape. I am sure it could be repaired. What should I do. Any suggestions?
